Summary of Changes

The HIV/AIDS Bureau reviewed previous versions of the Performance Measures and revised the text and references. Key updates include the following:

• Updated references to National Quality Forum number for HIV Viral Load Suppression
• Removed reference to the HIV Research Network
• Added comparison data references to Healthy People 2030, the National HIV/AIDS Strategic Plan, the Ending the HIV Epidemic initiative, the Sexually Transmitted Infections National Strategic Plan, and/or the Viral Hepatitis National Strategic Plan, the HIV Quality Measures (HIVQM) Module, and the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program Compass Dashboard
• Updated links to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Clinical Practice Guidelines
• Updated HHS Clinical Practice Guidelines language for the following measures:
  • Cervical Cancer Screening
  • Chlamydia Screening
  • Hepatitis B Screening
  • Hepatitis B Vaccination
  • Pneumococcal Vaccination
  • Preventive Care and Screening: Tobacco Use: Screening and Cessation Intervention
  • Syphilis Screening
• Updated measure details for the following measures:
  • Hepatitis B Screening (included denominator, which was inadvertently removed in the last document version)
  • Syphilis Screening (corrected typographical error in description regarding testing type and in denominator language for patients < 18 years old)
• Included reference to Healthy People 2030, the National HIV/AIDS Strategic Plan, the Ending the HIV Epidemic initiative, the Sexually Transmitted Infections National Strategic Plan, and/or the Viral Hepatitis National Strategic Plan (as applicable) within the "Use in Other Federal Programs" section for all measures
• Updated the HRSA contact email address in the Accessibility section
