Part F: Dental Programs

Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) Part F dental grants include the Dental Reimbursement Program (DRP) and the Community-Based Dental Partnership Program (CBDPP).

What do these two dental programs fund?

  • Oral health care for people with HIV
  • Education and training for oral health providers

Who can apply for the DRP and CBDPP grants?

Eligible institutions that have dental or dental hygiene education programs accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation. This may include:

  • Dental schools
  • Hospitals with postdoctoral dental residency programs
  • Community colleges with dental hygiene programs

What does the Dental Reimbursement Program (DRP) fund?

The DRP reimburses accredited dental or dental hygiene education programs for giving oral health care to people with HIV.

What does the Community-Based Dental Partnership Program (CBDPP) fund?

The CBDPP funds HIV oral health care and provider education and clinical training, especially those practicing in community-based settings. The CBDPP also increases access to oral health care services for low-income people with HIV.

Do other programs fund oral health?

All Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) Parts may support oral health services.
