Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program Biennial Reports

The Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) provides a comprehensive system of HIV primary medical care, medication, and essential support services for low-income people with HIV. The RWHAP funds grants to cities, counties, states and local community-based organizations to provide HIV care and treatment services to over 600,000 people each year, reaching more than half of all people with diagnosed HIV in the United States.

To highlight the innovative models of care that Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program and HAB Ending the HIV Epidemic in the U.S. (EHE) initiative recipients implement in communities across the country, the HIV/AIDS Bureau publishes a Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program highlights report every two years. This provides an update of the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program efforts to improve health outcomes for people with HIV, showcase data on client demographics, and document the successes and challenges of recipients.

The 2026 report theme, Implementing Interventions, Expanding Partnerships, and Engaging Communities to End the HIV Epidemic, underscores HRSA’s commitment to ensuring effective and efficient services are provided, collaboration is enhanced, and data-driven approaches are used to increase HIV care and treatment access. The report captures the significant progress made across RWHAP and EHE and highlights emerging strategies that advance viral suppression, improve care engagement, and strengthen systems of support. The seven recipients highlighted have focused on partnering with service providers to deliver programs to current RWHAP clients as well as reach people with HIV who are out of care or undiagnosed. These recipients of HRSA’s RWHAP provide inspiration for achieving our collective goal of ending the HIV epidemic in the United States.
