Tiommi Luckett: The day that I learned that I could potentially be positive, I made a promise to my higher power: If I get through this, I will promote as much education and awareness of HIV as I can to anyone who will listen, and in 2014, I got the opportunity to make good on that promise by speaking at the Presidential Advisory Council on HIV and AIDS. And I haven’t stopped since that day.

Tiommi Luckett: Had it not been for the Ryan White Program, I truly don't believe that I would have been here today because I didn't know where to go. No one in my city was talking about HIV as if it was real.

Tiommi Luckett: So, I had nowhere to go. I went to the internet, and by chance, by cause, by talking to this person and that person, I was finally connected to the agency that held the Ryan White Program right here in Arkansas. In Little Rock, specifically. And it was there that gave me the opportunity to get in care, have access to a doctor, dentist, medical, mental health, all of that, like in one-stop shop.

Tiommi Luckett: Eleven years later, I know that I would not be here if it wasn't for the Ryan White Program.

Tiommi Luckett: An HIV diagnosis didn't stop me from finding love. Being trans didn't stop me from finding love, and so, yeah, I think that's what's adding to the smile today. This is the face of HIV.
